
Gaynor is the Director of Business & Sustainable Development at Aquatera Atlántico. She works closely with the dynamic team based in the Canary Islands, providing governance and strategic direction. Over the last 13 years, Gaynor has played a key role in the development of Aquatera Group (of which Aquatera Atlántico is a part), transforming it into an award-winning environmental consultancy specialising in marine renewable energy and sustainability.
Gaynor leads projects in remote communities and island groups, focusing on international development, gender equality, and social inclusion. She works closely with communities to identify and implement suitable blue energy solutions.
Prior to this, she accumulated 17 years of experience in the third sector (including two CEO roles), primarily working with communities, public and private sector partners, as well as local and national governments. She holds non-executive director positions on several local and national boards. Gaynor has led community development projects in remote African communities, coastal communities in Southeast Asia, and with refugees in the Middle East. She has also represented Aquatera’s work on a global scale.
